How we calculate it

The rug is made 100% from upcycled materials. Therefore, the weight of the rug corresponds to the amount of raw material that never has to be made.

We have weighed the leather from an average leather shoe at 168 g.

How we calculate it

17 kg of CO₂ is emitted when producing 1 m² leather.¹

The leather in our production weigh 0,1 kg/m² on average. That corresponds to 1,7 kg CO₂/ kg leather.

A medium-sized petrol car emits 0,192 kg CO₂/km driven.²

Daily cleaning can easily be done with a vacuum cleaner or by beating the rug outside. If the rug is stained, we recommend dry cleaning.
